The 20-acre Kogut Preserve was donated to the land trust by the estate of John Kogut in 2008. The forested property was heavily logged before it was donated to the Wyndham Land Trust. The forest is recovering and provides thick shrubby habitat in a largely undeveloped area. The landlocked property sits north of North Frontage Road in Killingly and is not readily accessible by the public.
